Start by moving just one control and watch how the image, the estimates on the right and the contrast graph change. The vertical dashed line on the graph marks the current value. Drag on the image vertically/horizontally to adjust window width/level; double-click to return to auto.
Everything here is an educational model. Tissue values are rounded representative literature values or estimates, and the virtual phantom is a schematic drawn with analytic shapes. It does not reproduce patient images, diagnostic thresholds or scanner-displayed values (scan time, SAR). Vendor names are shown with a confidence level.

Imaging parameters
TE, TR and echo spacing shorter than the minimum are corrected during calculation, and the values are shown in yellow. Ranges are wider than scanner limits and include values that cannot be set on real scanners.
Signal by tissue (current image)
| Tissue (educational) | T1 / T2 / T2* (current field strength, post-contrast) | Relative signal | Est. SNR | vs. previous |
|---|
Median pixel value of each tissue. Relative signal is scaled so that the maximum is 100. Estimated SNR is the median divided by the noise standard deviation and does not account for surface-coil sensitivity correction or spatial variation of the parallel-imaging g-factor. "vs. previous" compares with the same image under the immediately preceding settings.
Sequence names by vendor
Confidence: Published name verified in the manufacturer's published documents / Chart confirmed in a cross-vendor comparison chart (some ambiguity in reading the columns) / names that could not be verified are shown as “—”. Names can differ by software version and region; check the protocol names on your own scanner.

Tissue parameters (representative educational values)
T1 and T2 are representative values rounded from published reports, or educational estimates based on literature values (marked "est" in the source column). They vary considerably between individuals and measurement methods and are not reference values for diagnosis or quantification.
